Town Mountain Preserve

A custom modern home located on Town Mountain in Asheville, NC. This home was a collaboration between Brickstack Architects and Allard + Roberts Interior Design, and the builder. The homeowners hand selected these firms to design and craft their organic modern retirement home, located near downtown Asheville.

The architect sited the home to make the most of the expansive mountain views, and employed regional materials for the hard surfaces. The architect and designers also collaborated with local craftsmen for features like the custom front door, stair railings, exterior railings, powder bath vanities, and custom kitchen range hood. The A+R designers sourced North Carolina made upholstery, and designed locally crafted custom furnishings for the interiors. In addition to selecting the architectural fixtures and finishes, and sourcing the area rugs, lighting, furniture and decor, the designers also collaborated with the homeowners on building a selection of artwork and objects sourced through local art galleries. The end result is a modern home that makes the most of its location and vistas, while incorporating custom crafted details, furnishings, artwork and decor. The homeowners now enjoy their home with their two dogs, and love to entertain with visiting friends and family.
